A big party of the true Italian gastronomy in Berlin: 72 hours long, from Thursday, September 28th at 7 pm to the evening of Sunday, October 1st, many Italian restaurants, pizzerias and wine bars will open their doors and offer their specialties in order to give the opportunity to experience a real Italian gastronomy tour. Aubergine Parmigiana, caponata, homemade ravioli, creamed salted codfish, sarde in saor, salmon carpaccio with cucumber emulsion, homemade Sardinian ravioli, pizza and focaccia slices, porchetta, linguine with Genovese pesto, ravioli with swordfish, Italian ham and cheese, dark chocolate ice cream, cappuccino, sandwiches and much more.
For the fixed price of 7€ you will have the chance to taste one of these delicious dishes + a glass of wine. The 72 hrs True Italian Food Map will help you to organize this fascinating gastronomy tour. It follows the map of the Berlin underground and shows all the restaurants participating in the event.
The event is organized by Berlin Italian Communication with the patronage of Italian Embassy, Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Berlino, of DE.S.A. Deutschland Sommelier Association and Itkam – Camera di Commercio Italiana per la Germania.

True Italian Pizza Week Berlin 2017
6th – 12th April 2017
Margherita, marinara, napoletana, capricciosa, quattro stagioni, ham and mashrooms, vegetarian: no matter what’s on the top, pizza is the proper symbol of the Italian cuisine. The True Italian Pizza Week Berlin aims to honour one of the symbols of the Italian gastronomic culture with a special initiative involving the best pizzerias in the German capital.
True Italian Pizza Week Berlin will take place from 6th to 12th of April 2017 in all of the participating restaurants. Here you can ask for the event menu: you will have the chance to taste authentic Italian pizza (choosing between two kinds – vegetarian options available) and match it with a beer or soft drink paying just 10€. The sponsors of the event are Amaro Lucano and Lavazza: for this reason in many places an Amaro Lucano liqueur is included in the offer and it will also be possible to order a Lavazza espresso for just 1€ more. Following in the footsteps of 72hrs True Italian Food (22-25 September 2016), the event wants to promote the variety and excellence of genuine Italian food in Berlin. The event’s media partners are Berlino Magazine and I Heart Berlin.
During the True Italian Pizza Week 7-days festival, Berliners will be provided of a city metro map where the stations are replaced by the participant pizzerias with their own pizza offer. Furthermore, the map can still be used after the event: the True Italian selection of the best Italian pizzerias in Berlin can be useful for who is interested in trying the wide Italian gastronomic offer in the city anytime.

Seven days dedicated to the best Italian receipts containing tomato: it’s happening in Berlin from the 21st to the 27th November 2016 during the First Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World promoted by the Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, of Agriculture and of Education. From pappa al pomodoro to tagliatelle all’Amatriciana, through sorbet, ragù, pizza, stuffed tomatoes, lasagne, cannelloni and gnocchi: during the Berlinitalienisches Tomatenfest (Berlin Festival of the Italian Tomato) some of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin (18) will offer typical Italian dishes with tomatoes, with a special price. The event is addressed to those who love good food, no matter if from Germany, Italy or any other country. It is easy to recognize a good tomato but not that easy to find a real good one, at least in Central Europe. The Festival of the Italian Tomato aims to highlight a fundamental taste of the Italian food culture, which could be realized within a recipe or used for cooking at home.
The event is organised by True Italian together with the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin. The main sponsor of the event is Ferrera, a Sicilian company that produces high-quality tomatoes and tomato sauces. Also Lavazza, the leader Italian company for coffee, is our sponsor. By ordering the tomato speciality during the event all participants will receive a Ferrera tomato sauce jar for free.
